Winter Races & 5Ks in Amarillo [2017]

by Ameka Mobley | October 31, 2017

jogging-woman-in-snow.jpgWinter is on its way, which means colder weather and hopefully some snow.

Many people stop running when the weather cools down, but this is actually the optimal time to run a 5K or marathon. Running in the heat can be taxing on the body.

Cold weather running, however, is better for your metabolism and can help you stay in shape even during sweater weather.

Sign up for one of the winter races below to keep off winter weight and feel better by Christmas – all while supporting a good cause.
